About the launch
Motion opened a public beta for the General Video Agent, a video agent that takes a brief, your footage, or a reference clip and returns a finished cut. It is built for founders, marketers, and production teams who need launch films, product demos, talking heads, podcast clips, and motion graphics. The agent edited this launch video, and anyone can try the same mode at motion.so with no waitlist. It plans the shots, builds them, and checks the cut before you see it. You can edit footage you already have or generate new material, covering cuts, motion design, color, and audio sync. Changes go through chat, a mark drawn on a frame, or the timeline, and the project can move into Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve. An API and an MCP server also let Claude, Codex, and other agents call it from the tools a team already uses. Motion comes from Mosaic, the Y Combinator company co-founded by Adish Jain and Kyle Wade, former Tesla engineers. Teams at The Sun, the New York Post, talkSPORT, and News Corp already use the agent in production workflows, and Mosaic's Motion Studio has used it to help make launch videos for more than 20 Y Combinator companies.
