Motion is a text-to-video agent from Mosaic aimed at founders and marketing teams who need a polished launch video without opening After Effects or hiring an agency. Paste a website URL or a one-sentence prompt and it produces a finished cut with motion graphics, voiceover, music, and captions. The launch positions it around a specific use case that most generic AI video tools skip, brand-aware motion design for product launches, explainers, demos, and logo animations.
Under the hood, the agent reads the source site to pull real brand colors, type, and references, storyboards the video scene by scene, then renders each scene with visuals, VO, and sound before letting the user edit any element by chat or by dragging directly on the canvas. It runs in the browser and is also exposed over MCP, so it can be driven from Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible agent through the Mosaic Motion API.
Motion is built by Mosaic, a San Francisco company founded in 2024 by Adish Jain and Kyle Wade and backed through Y Combinator. Mosaic has been shipping agentic video editing workflows for customers like TubeScience and News Corp, and Motion is the consumer-facing product that packages that same pipeline for anyone with a URL and a launch to ship.

The voiceover in the demo actually has cadence, which is wild because 90% of AI VOs sound like a hostage reading a menu. Whoever picked that TTS model deserves a raise.

ok wait, pasting a URL and getting a full launch video is the exact wedge every seed founder needs at 2am the night before Product Hunt. Distribution unlock, not a toy.

hot take: every SaaS landing page is about to look like the same generic launch video by December. The moat is whichever tool lets you break the template first.

Calling it 'Apple for product launches' is a bold check to cash on launch day. The demo better not cut to a Keynote-style bounce transition or I'm filing a complaint.

The kerning on the captions in the demo is slightly off on the second cut, and the thumbnail could lose one of the three gradients. Otherwise, genuinely nice type choices.

Curious what retention looks like when the novelty of 'paste URL, get video' wears off after launch 3. Is there a real reason to open this weekly, or is it a one-shot tool dressed as a product?

Tweet copy doing a lot of heavy lifting with three short lines and a flex. This is how you write a launch post, not the six-tweet thread with an emoji rocket.
