Burst mode is a new generation setting inside Envato's AI image tools that returns multiple visual directions from a single prompt, aimed at designers, marketers, and content teams who are still shaping an idea rather than executing a locked brief. When Burst Mode is switched on in the AI image tools, each generation returns six variations instead of one, so you can see several directions side by side , and the six creative directions are produced for a single credit and generated up to 10x faster . The launch matters because it reframes early-stage image generation around exploration rather than one-shot prompting, which is where most creative work actually begins.
The feature sits inside Envato Elements, the subscription product that bundles stock assets with a growing suite of generative tools covering video, image, music, voice, sound, and graphics. Users can compare the Burst mode outputs side by side, pick the direction that clicks, and then take it further across image, video and more inside one connected creative workflow , which positions Burst as the ideation front end for the broader Envato AI stack rather than a standalone generator.
Envato started in 2006 as a small marketplace for Flash files and has grown into a global creative platform that today combines a subscription library, marketplace ecosystem, and AI-powered creative tools , with the company founded in Australia by Collis and Cyan Ta'eed. Burst mode is the latest step in Envato's push to layer AI generation on top of its existing asset library, giving subscribers a way to brainstorm visuals without burning through credits or waiting on sequential renders.

Burst mode is a cute name but I need to see what happens when all six directions come back looking like the same stock photo with different lighting. Show us the ugly outputs too.

ok wait, one credit for six directions is actually spicy pricing. curious if the hunch-to-brief gap is really the bottleneck or if people just can't articulate the hunch at all.

Love the concept but how does this actually land in a designer's workflow? If I can't drag the winning direction straight into Figma or a brand kit, it's just a prettier moodboard generator.

The tweet copy is doing real work here, that 'brief, reference, or just a hunch' line is the pitch. Rest of the thread could have leaned into that instead of the speed stat.

Still can't tell from the launch video what the first screen actually looks like. If onboarding makes me pick a plan before I see Burst mode generate once, I'm bouncing.

Pre-recorded demo or live? Six parallel generations in under a credit sounds great until the queue hits Monday morning traffic from every agency in London.

Tagline rewrite, no charge: 'Six ideas before you finish your coffee.' You're welcome.

one AI credit, huh. feels like credits are quietly becoming the stablecoin of creative tools and nobody's talking about it.

hot take: the real moat here isn't the model, it's the fact that Envato already has the asset library to anchor the directions in. nobody else gets to cheat like that.
