Your launch post, exactly as X will show it

Type in the compose box above and the post appears in the timeline the way it will on launch morning: your name and checkmark, coloured links and mentions, and the media grid X uses. Press Post to get a review link for your team. Nothing is published to X.

How it works

  1. 01

    Write the post

Paste the copy. Links, mentions and hashtags are picked out the way X does it, and the counter follows X's rules.

  2. 02

    Add the media

Drop in up to four images or one video and see the exact grid X will use.

  3. 03

    Share a review link

Send it to your co-founders or clients so everyone signs off on the same thing before it goes out.

Launching something? We produce launch videos and run launch-day distribution on X. See what that looks like in our case studies, or browse the Global Launch Directory for the launches that worked.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

The post as it appears in the X timeline: your name, handle and checkmark, the text with links, mentions and hashtags coloured, and the media grid X uses for one to four images or a video. You can switch between light, dim and lights-out themes and between desktop and phone widths.

The same way X counts them. Every link counts as 23 characters regardless of its length, and emoji count as two. Standard accounts get 280 characters. The counter turns red past that, which means the post needs X Premium.

Yes. Create a review link and anyone who has it can open the preview. You can add a note for reviewers, for example when the post is scheduled. Nothing is posted to X and no X login is needed.

Only when you create a review link. The draft otherwise stays in your browser. Media you add is uploaded so the link can show it, and nothing is shared beyond people who have the link.
