About the launch
Reception lets developers of iOS apps talk to users inside the product, where support questions, review asks, and purchases usually drop off. The SDK adds a native chat to Swift, UIKit, React Native, and Expo apps on iOS 17 and later. Users send text and photos without a separate support account. Teams answer in the same thread, attach review requests, and send upgrade or discount cards. Accent color, chat title, and welcome message can be changed from the dashboard, so those edits do not wait on a new App Store build. It is launching at $25 a month or $200 a year per organization, one plan that covers every app and every teammate, with the first 30 organizations on that rate before the listed price moves to $50 a month. Replies can be sent from a web inbox, from Telegram, or by AI using uploaded documentation. The chat interface includes built-in text for 48 languages and follows the host app's localization. Andi and Frederick, who also ship their own iOS apps, set up integration as a prompt copied from the dashboard into a coding agent, paired with that app's ID.
