About the launch
Sirona Medical builds RadOS, a cloud-native radiology operating system that combines the diagnostic viewer, reporter, PACS archive, worklist, and workflow AI on one platform for radiology practices, hospitals, and health systems. Cameron Andrews founded the San Francisco company in 2018 and serves as founder and president, with Ken Kaufman as chief executive. On October 15, 2026, Sirona closed a $40 million Series D led by Avidity Partners, joined by 8VC, GreatPoint Ventures, KLT, Rose Park Advisors, and other investors. The company says the round funds its operating plan indefinitely, and that it is backed by roughly $150 million in venture capital. Since RadOS launched publicly in November 2023, Sirona has signed dozens of customers across hundreds of sites, with more than 12 million primary imaging exams a year under contract. As of September 30, 2026, revenue was up 2.5 times year-over-year and contracted annual recurring revenue was up 2.7 times. The company is under contract to onboard more than 1,000 additional radiologists over the next twelve months, and mean new-customer contracted ARR over the trailing twelve months reached $1.07 million. The capital funds a larger U. S. implementation and support team, including new offices in Burlington, Vermont and Cincinnati, Ohio, and commercialization of Cortex, an AI orchestration layer still in limited beta. It also funds Sirona Global, planned before the end of 2026, after a five-year partnership with Everlight Radiology to deploy RadOS for 800 radiologists across Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, the United Kingdom, the UAE, and South Africa. More than half of Sirona customers already collaborate on the shared cloud infrastructure, and the company is releasing Built on Sirona, a series of customer stories and technical deep dives on how practices use the platform.
