How Praxis launched on X

Praxis, a Y Combinator Fall 2026 company in San Francisco, is launching AI agents that handle law firm administration from a new client inquiry through collection of the invoice. The product is aimed at small and mid-sized firms. Agents answer an inquiry in minutes, qualify it against the firm's rules, run a conflict check, and draft the engagement letter for a lawyer to approve. They collect and verify documents, chase missing or outdated files, track tasks, let the client follow the matter in a portal, and send and follow invoices until they are paid. The lawyer supervises and approves each step. Praxis says it is already live with firms across the United States, and the launch opens early access. In its YC launch note, the company argues that Harvey, Legora, and similar tools went after contract review and drafting at large firms, while client operations at small and mid-sized firms stayed with practice management software such as Clio and 8am. Those tools record work a person still does by hand. Praxis reads the inquiry and builds the client record so the same data is not entered twice, then connects to calendar, email, e-signature, billing, and the firm's existing practice management system. Client data is encrypted, kept separate from every other firm, and not used to train models. The company says lawyers spend 62% of their day on admin nobody pays for, including intake, conflict checks, document chasing, engagement letters, follow-ups, and billing, and that clients leave for the firm that answers first. Diana Khramina and Maxence Guegnolle-Santi founded Praxis in 2026. Khramina, CEO, previously led go-to-market for Gorgias's AI agent, scaling it from zero to more than 1,000 paying customers and $8 million in annual recurring revenue in under a year. She was also chief of staff at Gorgias and a senior consultant at McKinsey, where she worked with law firms. Guegnolle-Santi, CTO, was an AI engineer at SightCall and a data engineer at Uber and BlaBlaCar, and comes from a family of lawyers.
