Ledger Atom is a connected hardware signer from Paris-based Ledger, introduced on October 15, 2026 at the company's Op3n event by Chairman and CEO Pascal Gauthier. It runs everyday apps on a hardened Android system, while private keys and the final approval for sensitive actions stay on a separate Secure Element running Ledger OS. The device is for people who already hold crypto on a Ledger and want that same check for transactions, logins, messages, and AI agent requests on the device itself, instead of approving on a separate signer paired to a phone or computer. When something needs approval, an FPGA between the main processor and the display cuts the Android side off from the screen and touch panel, and Ledger OS draws the details itself. Cellular service is data-only on 4G and 5G, so Atom cannot place voice calls, send SMS, or reach emergency services, and a physical switch cuts power to the camera and microphone. Ledger Wallet runs on the device, Solana's Seeker app is planned to ship preinstalled, and Ledger named identity company Persona a partner while it explores exchange signing with Kraken parent Payward. Founders Edition reservations are open at $849 with a fully refundable $100 deposit, and orders after launch are listed at $899. Ledger says the product is still in development and expects shipping in 2027. The shop page lists a 6.8-inch 60 Hz AMOLED display, a 50 MP camera, and a 4,000 mAh battery, along with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, NFC, and USB-C.
