Sabi announced a $50M raise from Khosla Ventures, Accel, Initialized, Kevin Weil and DST Global to build what it calls the world's most wearable brain-computer interface cap. Sabi is a Palo Alto company developing a non-invasive BCI worn as a hat: instead of a surgical implant, it packs a dense array of tiny EEG sensors (Forbes reports around 100,000) into a cap and decodes the signals with a brain foundation model.
The goal, as Forbes put it, is to let people talk to their AI agents just by thinking, converting silent internal speech into text and commands. The funding moves Sabi from research toward a product people would actually wear every day, following its earlier launch of the brain-reading beanie.
CEO Rahul Chhabra (@rahulchhabra07) posted the announcement on October 9, 2026, alongside Forbes' coverage of the round.
