About the launch

Inbox Zero Mail is an email client for people who already use Gmail or Outlook and need one place to work through a heavy inbox. It brings Gmail, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Outlook accounts into a single view on the web, Mac, Windows, and a native iPhone app, with shortcuts for archive, snooze, reply, and moving between split tabs such as To Reply, Newsletter, and Calendar. Messages that need a response arrive with a draft written from your past mail and calendar. The client is free to use. AI labeling, drafts, cold-email blocking, and bulk unsubscribe start at $20 a month, or $18 billed annually, while Superhuman Mail is listed at $30 a month on Starter ($25 billed annually) and $40 on Business ($33 billed annually). Founder Elie Steinbock has been building Inbox Zero since 2023, first as an open-source assistant that organized mail and drafted replies inside Gmail and Outlook. That assistant still works if you keep your current client. This launch adds the company's own app, so the sorting and drafts sit in the same place you read mail. The web and desktop client is open source under the AGPL license, the GitHub project has more than 12,000 stars, and you can self-host. The hosted service is SOC 2 Type 2 certified. The iPhone app is not open source yet. The company reports more than 25,000 sign-ups. On a shared thread, teammates can leave private comments that are never sent as email, and Slack can alert you when a message needs attention. There is no mailbox migration. Messages stay in the Gmail or Outlook account you already use.
