BinderVerse: a cloud lab for AI-designed binders

What RootPath launched

RootPathOct 15, 2026

Today we are launching RootPath BinderVerse, a cloud lab for AI-designed binders. Sequence in, binding data out in as few as 3 days, gene synthesis time included! Antibodies and Fab fragments made with CHO cells (TAT from 6 days) and CAR-Ts made with primary T cells (TAT from https://t.co/6UWupzS6Cl

RootPath reached 27K views, 0.1 times the directory median of 231K, ranking 846 of 1010 launches we track. Among Biotech & therapeutics launches it ranks 7 of 7, 0.1 times that group's median. The post came from an account with 342 followers and reached 80 times that many people, ranking 69 of 103 launches from accounts of a similar size.

Replies ran at 5.1 per 10,000 views, well above the 3.2 median. Conversation in the first hours is what the ranking model rewards with more reach. Bookmarks came in at 61.6 per 10,000 views against a median of 13.4. One bookmark for every 1.0 likes is a high ratio and usually means people intend to come back and try the product.

It went out on a Thursday.

About the launch

RootPath BinderVerse turns computationally designed binder sequences into experimental binding data, with gene synthesis included in the turnaround. It is aimed at labs and companies designing protein binders for therapeutics, diagnostics, and research tools, now that software can propose large sets of de novo candidates faster than most groups can test them in the wet lab. The fastest cell-free workflows start from three calendar days, where RootPath says existing services still take several weeks. Customers upload sequences, choose a target, and select an expression system. Cell-free formats support quick ranking by biolayer interferometry, including assays set up to report monovalent affinity instead of avidity-inflated binding. Full-length antibodies and Fab fragments are produced in CHO or 293 cells, and sequences can also be built as chimeric antigen receptors and tested for activation in primary T cells. Optional measurements cover purification, thermostability, and size-exclusion behavior, with results returned in a portal for direct review or for software to retrieve. BinderVerse extends RootPath's gene synthesis business. The Massachusetts company, co-founded and led by Xi Chen, uses its PathFinder DNA assembly method to produce long synthetic genes at a lower price than conventional providers, and has applied high-throughput synthesis to T cell receptor screening. The launch uses that capacity so teams can rank computationally designed binders without building their own expression and assay pipelines.
