How Knot API launched Supernova on X

Supernova lets developers describe an action on a website and get back an API they can call repeatedly. When a learning pass is needed, Supernova runs it once inside a virtual machine, then serves later requests without opening a browser each time. Knot says authentication, persistent connections, health checks, repairs, and ongoing maintenance stay on its side. A developer waitlist is open, with suggested uses in retail search and checkout, account and payment connections, and new API businesses built on other companies' sites. The launch opens technology Knot already runs for banks and fintechs. With one SDK, those customers update cards on file, set a digital wallet as the default payment method, pull SKU-level transactions, and manage subscriptions at merchants such as Amazon, Netflix, and Uber. A 2026 integration also lets Venmo users set Venmo as the default payment method at merchants they already shop with. Knot says this connectivity now handles more than 1 million actions a day for some of the largest financial institutions. Supernova is the offer that lets outside developers specify their own website actions, on top of the products Knot already ships. Brothers Rory O'Reilly and Kieran O'Reilly founded Knot in 2021 in New York and still lead it as CEO and CTO. They previously built Millions, a debit card program, and gifs.com.
