About the launch
Dessn is a design tool for product teams that already have a codebase. Connect an approved GitHub or GitLab repository with read-only access and the app compiles in the cloud, so designers, product managers, and engineers can pull live pages onto a canvas and work with the real components and design system, without a local setup or an IDE. On November 4, 2026, cofounders Gabriella Hachem and Nim Cheema relaunched a version rebuilt from scratch. The new canvas shows every page and state in a flow, stays in sync with production, and lets a team prompt changes inside the existing design system or edit them directly on the canvas. Dessn says it never writes or pushes code back to the repository, that it is SOC 2 Type II compliant, and that it does not train on customer data. The current site lists support for React, Vue.js, Electron, and React Native. Founded in London in 2024, the company raised $6 million in May 2026, led by Connect Ventures with participation from Betaworks and N49P. At the time of that round, named customers included teams at Color, Wispr, and Mercury.
