About the launch
Instinct is a personal assistant you text or call, with no new app to open. Founder Noah Shinn built it in San Francisco so the assistant can use a phone and a computer the way a person does. People with access already ask it to book travel, order groceries, send flowers, and handle other ordinary errands.) This launch adds an OpenTable partnership. A user can ask Instinct to find a table and book dinner, then move the reservation if plans change. The company says the integration can match restaurants to taste, diet, and budget. Reservations were already part of the product. In September, Shinn introduced Instinct Concierge, a calling feature for restaurants that do not take online reservations. The OpenTable partnership adds a direct booking path for restaurants on that network, so search, booking, and later changes can stay in the same conversation.
