About the launch
Grok Bot is xAI's AI agent for operators and teams who want a teammate that keeps working after the chat ends. Each Bot runs on a persistent cloud computer, signs into the apps and websites you already use, and carries multi-step jobs through to a result, coming back when an action needs approval. This week's update matters because those jobs can now leave the thread as a document, a filled login, a phone action, or a finished clip. Ask for analysis or a trend and the Bot builds a Page, a visual document you can edit with it, keep private, or share with a team or company. A Vault in Settings stores logins, cards, and contact details encrypted, then fills them on a webpage so the Bot never sees the secret itself. The 1Password connection, improved with the 1Password team, follows the same pattern of an approved fill rather than a shared password. On iPhone the Bot can reach Apple Home, Reminders, Location, Contacts, Alarms, and Calendar, so a scheduled check can turn off HomeKit lights or a location request can surface nearby restaurants. The Bot can also make a video from a description or an image with the Imagine models, and it can help manage X Spaces and lists. The same drop adds a seasonal pumpkin character, a new typeface and simpler side pane, fewer approval cards while sensitive actions are still reviewed, pins in the media library, email forwards that keep their formatting, block quotes in chat, and conversion of a Word file into a Google Doc.
