Confido Health builds AI agents that take over the administrative work inside medical practices, from answering patient calls, texts, emails and faxes to booking appointments, verifying insurance, and chasing outstanding balances. The product, CareOS, integrates with more than 50 existing systems of record including EHRs, practice management, phone, billing and fax systems, and is aimed at private equity-backed healthcare platforms that want to standardize patient access and operations across their portfolios without adding headcount. It has particular depth in ophthalmology and optometry, physical therapy, dental, and primary and community care. The launch marks a $22.5 million total Series A, with a new $12.5 million extension led by Z47 (formerly Matrix Partners India), healthcare private equity veteran Justin Saks joining as an investor and board advisor, and existing investors Together Fund and Blume Ventures also participating . The round funds a repositioning from a voice-agent vendor to what the company calls an agentic operating layer, where a single intake interaction can carry context forward into referrals, scheduling, prescription refills and payment collection instead of handing each step to a different tool or person. Confido reports 15x growth since its last round, driven by a distribution model that sells first to private equity investors and then expands into their portfolio practices. The company was founded in 2022 by Vichar Shroff, Kunal Agrawal, Anik Agrawal and Chetan Reddy , with Reddy as CEO and Shroff as CPO, and is based in New York. The timing matters because most medical groups saw operating costs rise double digits in 2025 while support-staff salaries and benefits consumed roughly 25 to 30 percent of practice revenue, and practices consistently cite hiring and retention as their top constraint , which is the gap Confido is pitching its agents to fill for multi-site operators.

The 'decades to lives, weeks to paperwork' line is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that tweet and honestly? It earned the paycheck.

Everyone says 'AI agents for healthcare' but nobody wants to talk about the front desk staff who have to actually hand off to the bot at 7am. How's the training loop for the humans?

Before I even think about piloting this, where does PHI live and who touches it. BAA ready on day one or is this a 'coming soon' thing?

First 4 seconds of the video is a static logo card. You have maybe 1.7 seconds before I swipe, put the patient-waiting-room shot up front.

Tagline rewrite, free of charge: 'Less clipboard. More care.' You can venmo me later.

Built something adjacent for specialty clinics last year and the hardest part wasn't the agent, it was the EHR integrations. Curious which ones you tackled first.

Agents are great until the pager system from 2003 rate-limits you to 5 calls a minute. How do you handle the ancient telephony stack most clinics still run on?

Reminds me of the early thesis around what Abridge was doing on the scribing side, just pointed at the ops layer instead. The capacity angle is the right wedge.
