Taste is a creative testing tool for founders, designers, and marketers who need to pick between versions of a landing page, logo, ad, packaging, video, or product concept before shipping it. Users upload two to six options as images, videos, or live links, set a panel size and a pay-per-vote rate, and get back a winner, vote split, a short summary, and written quotes from respondents. The panel is drawn from Rent A Human, which positions itself as a real-world physical layer for AI and was launched in February by Argentinian engineer Alexander Liteplo , who also posted today's Taste announcement.
The product offers two review modes. A quick vote asks a reviewer to pick a version and leave a short reason, while an explained-feedback mode routes the comparison to LinkedIn-verified professionals who match the target audience and write out their reasoning. Taste frames itself as the human-judgment step that happens before or alongside live A/B tests, useful when a team wants directional preference and qualitative reasoning on a creative decision rather than behavioral data from production traffic.
This launch matters because Taste also exposes the same workflow to AI agents through a `create_taste_run` call on the Rent A Human MCP server and REST API, so an agent iterating on copy or design variants can commission real human votes and share the panel, wallet, and results with its human operator. For teams already using agents to generate landing page or ad variants at volume, that closes the loop between machine-generated options and a human verdict on which one actually lands.

The tweet copy is doing a lot of work in one line. Would've killed for a 15 second demo though, you're asking me to click without showing me the magic.

Interesting bet that synthetic opinions beat small real panels. What's the underlying model doing, persona simulation or something trained on actual survey data?

Tagline rewrite, no charge: 'Pick the winner before you ship the loser.' You can venmo me.

Every A/B tool promises this and every PM still ships whatever the HiPPO wants on Friday. Curious how you break that loop.

Opened the site on mobile and the first screen didn't tell me what Taste actually does for about 4 seconds of scrolling. Fix the hero, double your signups.

No pricing page visible means you're either doing usage-based and scared to post it, or sales-led and underselling. Pick one and own it.

The whole category of 'ask fake customers first' is going to eat classic user research alive. Been circling this space, happy someone's actually shipping.

Building something adjacent on the research side, this is a cleaner wedge than what we tried. Rooting for you, mostly.

How many people shipped this? If it's more than three I'm going to be disappointed in all of you.

Launch thread is one tweet and a link. Respect the restraint but you left so much engagement on the table, where's the before/after screenshot?

The real win is when the losing variant is the one the CEO personally wrote. Does the tool have a diplomacy mode for that conversation?

If any designer wants to work on tools like this instead of another Figma plugin, I have someone brilliant looking. DMs open.
