Open source platform that automates engineering teams' pull requests with coding agents
What SuperPlane launched

Last month, 52% of the pull requests our team merged were automated through SuperPlane. Today, we’re launching @superplanehq 1.0: an open source software factory for engineering teams. We built it because using a coding agent can feel like becoming its assistant. Starting https://t.co/k4lJji8CrF

About the launch
SuperPlane 1.0 is an open source software factory for engineering teams that want coding agents to take routine tickets through to a verified pull request. It imports issues from connected trackers, scores each one for clarity, complexity, and verifiability, and starts an agent only when that confidence is high enough. If the score is too low, it asks someone to clarify before any code is written. The launch is for teams whose agents already write code, but still leave engineers deciding what is safe to delegate, pasting failed tests back into a chat, and answering review comments one session at a time. After a task starts, SuperPlane runs the agent in its own cloud development environment, opens a pull request, and sends failing CI logs and review comments back until the required checks pass. Several tickets can move in parallel while the team keeps working. A shared board shows backlog, implementation, verification, and done, including what failed, what a run cost, and where a person still has to decide. Finished changes come back with evidence such as passing checks, screenshots, recordings, and a note on anything the run could not verify. The company says 52% of the pull requests its own team merged in the month before launch were automated through SuperPlane. The code is Apache 2.0, model-agnostic, and the community version runs on a team's own infrastructure, with support for models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and others, or a team's own API keys. CEO Darko Fabijan and CPO Marko Anastasov previously built Semaphore, the continuous integration platform used by teams at Confluent, Replit, and Superhuman.
