How Solid launched Glasshand on X
Lets AI agents tap, type, and swipe on real iPhones and Macs
What Solid launched

Give your agents their own iPhone and Mac. Al agents are smart enough to do almost anything, but they've been missing the one tool every human uses: A device. Introducing Glasshand. Glasshand lets your agent tap, type, and swipe on real iPhones and Macs, exactly like a human. https://t.co/QdblQP9dBj

About the launch
Glasshand rents dedicated physical iPhones and Macs in a data center to AI agents, then lets those agents watch the screen and operate the device with taps, keystrokes, and swipes. It is for teams already running agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor that still stall on ordinary Apple tasks: an iMessage, an Uber booking, a TikTok or Instagram post, or a login that rejects simulators. The agent rents the hardware through the Glasshand API, installs apps from the App Store, and can sign into iCloud or other accounts, either the operator's or ones set up for the agent. Each device starts factory reset, stays assigned to one customer, and is locked with a password that customer sets. An eSIM can give the iPhone its own number so the agent receives verification texts without a person forwarding them, and a hosted Mac can run Xcode so an agent can build a native app and test it on a physical iPhone. Glasshand prices the rentals month to month at $60 for an iPhone and $90 for a Mac, and erases the device and restores factory settings when the rental ends. The product comes from Solid, founded by Trevor Keith, whose agents already work with their own computers, accounts, and budgets. Glasshand opens that Apple hardware to whatever agent a team already uses, for the stretch of work that still needs a real device rather than another prompt.
