Velonos is a macOS and Windows desktop app from Kraków-based Software Mansion that replaces names, addresses, organizations, and financial details in prompts and documents with placeholders before they reach ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or other AI tools, then restores those details in the reply on the same computer. Detection uses a model developed and trained by Software Mansion's AI Lab and runs fully on the device, so the provider receives the request without the identities in it. It is built for people using those tools on sensitive work, and Software Mansion has aimed it first at law firms, financial-sector teams, and corporate controlling groups that cannot send client names, account numbers, or Polish PESEL numbers to a cloud model. Users keep the AI apps they already pay for. Velonos redacts the outgoing prompt and supported PDFs, scans, Word and PowerPoint files, and images, and keeps placeholders consistent through a conversation so the model can still follow the matter. Original values and the activity log stay on the computer. English and Polish are supported. If a file cannot be processed safely, it is blocked rather than sent unchanged. Team plans add shared redaction policies, and enterprise buyers can request on-premises deployment and fine-tuning of the detection model on their own samples. Software Mansion has built custom software in Kraków since 2012 and has traded on Warsaw's NewConnect market since October 2023. Velonos is a product of its AI Lab. Provider plans that promise zero retention still receive the prompt. Velonos swaps identifying details for placeholders on the machine before that handoff.
