Replit for Government is the company's AI app builder for public servants who know the workflow and usually wait on a vendor or an IT backlog to get software. Staff at national, state, local, tribal, and territorial agencies, in the US and internationally, can describe an internal tool, dashboard, report, or briefing deck in plain language. Replit Agent plans, builds, tests, and fixes it, and engineers can still open the code to review or extend the result. The launch is aimed at agencies that want everyday software built by the people closest to the work, under their own review and approval process. Control is the part of the product built for government buyers. Administrators can require SSO and SAML, keep users in sync with SCIM, and decide who can build, publish, or only view, with data policies and a central admin view on top. Hosting and data location still depend on the country and on each agency's security review. Replit has listed the offering on the FedRAMP Marketplace, where the package is in initial implementation and remains uncertified. Co-founder and CEO Amjad Masad, who started Replit in 2016, has framed the effort around giving existing staff the tools their missions need, after years spent on the security questions agencies raise first. The product page arrives with a public-sector leadership hire. On October 22, 2026, Replit named Michael Greenwald, a former AWS executive and U. S. Treasury diplomat, president of corporate affairs to expand government business. The company points to work already done with governments, including Jordan's Ministry of Education and National Council for Future Technology using Replit to build Siraj, an AI learning assistant it says reaches 1.3 million users across 5,800 schools, and a partnership with Saudi Arabia's HUMAIN. Replit's government page also says the platform is in use across 25 US states and more than 20 countries.
