About the launch
Wonder's new desktop app is for product designers and engineers who need interface changes to land in the code they already ship. It connects a local folder or a GitHub repository, runs the real app on the canvas, and brings screens in as editable layers drawn from the components, tokens, and icons in the codebase. Designers still leave the canvas to prompt a coding agent, then screenshot when the result drifts from the file they polished. This release keeps Claude Code or Codex, the live product, and the canvas in one place. Those agents run locally through the Claude Code or Codex subscription the team already pays for, carrying over the skills, plugins, and tools already configured for that agent, with no in-app credits to buy for the agent work. A designer can restyle a layer by hand or select it as context and ask the agent to apply the change, then click through the running app at phone, tablet, or desktop size, and capture any part of the app back onto the canvas for another pass. The repository is cloned to the local machine, and Wonder does not store the code on its servers. A pull request opens on a new branch only after the export plan is approved. Co-founders Aibek Yegemberdin and Boris Janković built Wonder after Superflex, their earlier design-to-code tool. The new release ships as a desktop app for Mac and Windows. Free covers one editor, lets you use your own agent subscriptions, and includes parallel agents, 3,000 AI-generated layers a week, and the live app on the canvas. Pro is $20 per editor a month, or $16 a month billed yearly, and adds sharing the running app and full team collaboration.
