Maker Thrive's relaunched tool turns any product URL into a short launch video. A founder pastes a link, the app scrapes the page, writes a script, generates a voiceover, and renders a finished clip that can go straight onto X, a landing page, or a Product Hunt listing. It targets solo builders and small teams who ship faster than they can produce marketing assets, and the relaunch bundles a simplified pricing structure so the cost of trying it is predictable.
The pipeline is stitched together from four familiar tools: Firecrawl handles the site scrape, ElevenLabs supplies the voice, Remotion composes and renders the video, and Clerk manages accounts. The demo shared with the launch takes Jonathan Wilke's Outbid.lol and turns its homepage into a rapid promo that surfaces the ranking mechanic, the pay-per-click bidding, and the traffic claims already on the site, which is a decent stress test of how faithfully the generator translates a live product page into a narrated pitch.
Maker Thrive is run by founder Art West and operates as a builder-focused media platform that publishes hands-on breakdowns of AI tools for founders and developers. This launch extends that editorial work into a product of its own, giving the same audience a way to generate the kind of distribution video that usually requires a designer, an editor, and a copywriter.

paste any URL and get a launch video is a great one-liner, but the demo thumbnail is doing zero work. slap a bold frame with the URL and result side by side.

ok wait, the stack flex in the tweet is more compelling than most seed decks I've seen this month. firecrawl + elevenlabs + remotion is a whole genre now.

cool demo but how do these actually get distributed? like does the video come with recommended crop sizes for X, LinkedIn, and TikTok or do I have to reformat manually?

the 'live (again)' in parens is the funniest part of this launch and I mean that with love.

so the pitch is I paste my URL and you generate a video convincing people to visit that same URL. genius loop, no notes, slightly cursed.

reminds me of what Tolstoy and Arcads are doing on the ad side, but for founder launches specifically. narrower wedge, cleaner ICP, I'm into it.

everyone's building launch video tools right now and the demand curve is going to flatten the second the novelty wears off. hope the pricing accounts for that.

curious what the paste-to-generate conversion looks like. bet there's a huge drop-off between people who watch the preview and people who actually download.

love it, one more thing: let me feed it a changelog and get a 20 second 'what's new' clip. weekly release videos would print.
