Company-specific AI agents that run manufacturing work from office to shop floor
What Faraday launched

Excited to launch Faraday (YC F26)! We’re building company-specific AI for manufacturers—agents that run work end to end, from the back office to the shop floor. If you manufacture physical products, we’d love to meet you. https://t.co/dk17CgyKDN https://t.co/fHEew69O3V

About the launch
Faraday is launching agents that take manufacturing and distribution work from the back office onto the shop floor. The San Francisco company, part of Y Combinator's Fall 2026 batch, is built for firms that make or move physical goods, including automotive suppliers and precision manufacturers. It connects to the software and machines those operations already run, including ERPs, manufacturing systems, and warehouse systems, for coordination that still crosses disconnected tools, spreadsheets, email, and knowledge held by experienced employees. Faraday builds reinforcement learning environments around each company's processes, constraints, approvals, and exceptions, drawing on operating procedures, enterprise data, and expert feedback. Agents are set up to handle jobs that span several steps, including engineering reviews, quoting, production scheduling, inventory, sales, and accounts payable, and to improve from real outcomes and human corrections. A shared runtime links machines and hardware to that same plan so orders, schedules, and business records stay in sync as the work is completed. The company was founded in 2026 by Datta Kaligotla and Oscar Rangel, and Y Combinator lists a team of two. Kaligotla, CEO, previously worked in engineering at Microsoft, Boeing, and Endeavor, was a founding engineer at Handshake AI Enterprise, and worked as a quant at Pretium Capital. Rangel previously built factory systems for Worthington Steel, shipped medical devices at Stryker, and worked on projects for NASA.
