Devin Mobile is an iOS companion app that lets developers kick off and monitor Devin coding sessions from their phone, extending the same autonomous agent that normally works through a browser and produces pull requests. The launch opens a beta waitlist for iPhone users who want to assign work to Devin away from their desk, with sessions running in the cloud or on your machine, testing in a browser, and continuing until a PR is ready to merge . It is aimed at engineers already using Devin who want to triage bugs, review agent output, or spin up new tasks during commutes and meetings.
The timing matters because Cognition has been pushing Devin toward longer-running, more autonomous work since the Devin 2.0 beta earlier in 2025, which introduced a cloud-hosted IDE for operating multiple Devins in parallel at a starting price of $20 per month . A phone client is a logical next step for an agent whose state already lives in the cloud rather than on a local filesystem, since the human role shifts toward supervising progress rather than editing files directly.
Cognition was founded in November 2023 by Scott Wu (CEO), Steven Hao (CTO), and Walden Yan (CPO) , a team with deep competitive programming backgrounds that first put Devin in front of the public in March 2024. Mobile access is being rolled out through a waitlist rather than an open download, so interested developers will need to sign up and wait for an invite.

Tweet copy is 11 words and a link. Someone on the team has incredible restraint or ran out of Figma hours for the launch video.

How does push notifications work when the agent hits an ambiguous spec at 2am? Does it wake me up or just guess? Genuine question.

Shipped a 'code review on mobile' prototype at BigCo in 2019 and killed it because nobody wanted to merge from a phone. Curious if agents change that math.

Any SSO on the mobile beta or is it personal Google accounts for now? Procurement will ask before I can even demo it internally.
