How Alan AI launched Alan on X
Lets developers run and manage coding agents without constant hand-holding
What Alan AI launched

Today we're launching @tryAlanAI so developers can stop babysitting their coding agents. We kept running into the same problem ourselves. Even as agents got better at writing code, we were becoming glorified button-pushers for our own AI: starting every run, feeding them https://t.co/A7j2ivYy7C

About the launch
Alan AI runs the coding agents a developer already uses, in parallel, with the codebase in context. You describe an engineering outcome once. Alan splits it into sessions on Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Gemini, Copilot, or its own agent, on a Mac or in the cloud. Founder and CEO Prasad Pilla launched it publicly because the team kept hitting the same limit in their own work. The agents could write more code, and the developers were still starting every run, feeding context, unblocking failures, and checking the output. On a task, the brief, the diffs, and the history stay together, and each session can use a different agent. A context graph built from code, specs, past decisions, GitHub, Linear, Slack, and earlier runs is what those sessions read, so new work starts with that background already in place. You can ask for tests or browser checks. Agents then open the app in cloud sandboxes, click through flows in parallel, and attach recordings and a report next to the diff. You approve, send the work back, or take the branch. Merges still go through normal pull request review. Local sessions are free in the Mac app and run in your checkout on the agent subscriptions you already have. Paid cloud plans start at $10 a month. Those sessions keep working after you close the laptop, resume after a crash or disconnect, and pause when a decision is yours. You can answer from a phone. Team plans, from $10 a seat, add shared sessions for people and agents on the same task, and runs can start from Slack, GitHub, or a schedule.
