What Aina launched

What if your devices, apps and agents knew what you wanted? You finish breakfast, and your Uber is booked. Running late, your agent sends a “Running late” text. You reach home, and your lights turn on. AI is proactive now. But it still needs your yes. It waits, for you to https://t.co/KOvsKVbmeZ

About the launch
Aina has opened pre-orders for a titanium ring that lets people on iPhone and Mac approve an app or AI agent without unlocking a phone. The ring shows one suggested next action on an OLED screen, drawn from calendar, location, app use, and connected services, with that learning kept on the user's own devices. A thumb swipe up is the yes. That can book a ride, send a late note, or start music. Swipe down to reject it, or leave it and nothing happens. Hold the center button to speak to a connected agent or take a note. The ring also has a microphone and speaker. Early units are $399, with a later price of $499, and shipping is planned for January 2027. The public launch follows 15 months in which the company worked largely in stealth, first as a human-computer interaction lab called Project Mirage. It showed experimental interfaces at CES 2026, then shipped Dune, a three-key keypad for Mac that changed its shortcuts with the app in use, to hundreds of early users. A private pilot of the ring started in early October. The same band can change role with context, running music, controlling a meeting microphone and camera, or handling a phone call when the hand comes up to the ear. Apoorv Shankar, founder and CEO, previously led hardware at Ultrahuman after that company acquired his earlier startup, LazyCo. Aina has teams in San Francisco and Bengaluru. In July 2026 it raised $5.5 million in seed funding led by Redstart Labs and 360 ONE, with participation from MIXI Global Investments, Antler, and Blume Founders Fund.
