Sol is a proactive AI assistant built for people whose work runs through email, scanning Gmail for the commitments users have already made ("I'll send the deck," "I'll set up time") and starting the work before anyone has to ask again. The product pulls the relevant context from a thread and begins assembling the output, whether that means research, drafting documents and presentations, or coordinating meetings , then hands the result back for review. Nothing goes out without the user, which is the deliberate line the team draws between preparation and approval.
The launch matters because it targets a specific redundancy in how knowledge workers already use AI, where the same intent gets typed twice, once as a promise in email and again as a prompt to an assistant. Sol treats the inbox itself as the trigger, positioning the tool alongside the arrival half of email that has been iterated on for decades while the "getting started" half has not. The company is opening access more broadly in the weeks following launch.
Sol is built by Anish Karan, Prateek Srivastava, and Ranjith Nair, three former Cred executives who founded the company in 2025 . It emerged from stealth alongside the launch with $4M from General Catalyst, Nexus Venture Partners, DeVC, Peercheque, and Kunal Shah , and the underlying platform already integrates with Gmail and Slack, organizing work around callouts (tasks), loops (recurring items), and topics .

The tweet copy actually made me stop scrolling, which almost never happens with agent launches. That 'then repeat the exact same thing to an AI' line is the whole pitch in one sentence.

The wordmark is doing a lot with a little, love the warm gradient. The 'o' in Sol wants to be a sun so bad, one more pixel of glow and you're there.

Cool demo, but how does Sol know which 'I'll share' I actually meant to follow through on versus the ones I said to get out of the thread? Half my inbox promises are load-bearing lies.

So you built an AI that reads my emails, sees all the things I promised, and does them. Congrats, you've invented shame with an API.

Sol token when? Every task it completes could mint a $WORK receipt onchain, I'm only half joking.

'Here comes the sun' is cute but soft. Try: 'Sol does the thing you already said you'd do.' Free of charge, venmo me.

Curious about the permissions model here. Is there a self-host path or at least docs on what scopes Sol asks for before it starts autonomously replying on my behalf?

Interesting for prosumer, but before I show this to security: SSO, SOC2, data residency options, and can I scope it to a single shared inbox? Otherwise procurement never sees the demo.

Team size on this? Because if it's under five people shipping a full inbox agent with a landing page this clean, I need to sit down.

Didn't we already do 'AI that reads your email and drafts replies' back when Superhuman was cool? Genuinely asking what's new here besides the vibes.

Signed up. The first-run experience is smooth but it dumps you into a dashboard before showing a single thing Sol found. Show me the magic in the first 10 seconds or I bounce.

Building in the adjacent agentic-inbox space and honestly the 'finds the work itself' framing is sharper than what most of us (me) have been saying. Rude of you.

Fifth 'inbox agent' launch I've seen this month but the first one that led with a verb instead of a manifesto. Pacing on the video is tight too.
