Agora-2 is Odyssey's next-generation multi-agent world model, a system that generates shared, interactive environments in real time for up to 20 humans and AI agents . Agora-2 supports 5x more participants than Agora-1, and extends the earlier model from simulating a single environment to multiple environments with more complex interactions and longer-horizon behaviors. To stress test those richer dynamics, the team trained Agora-2 on captures from Blizzard's Diablo II that pair observations with actions and state, allowing the model to learn how entities navigate, interact, and respond to one another , effectively producing a learned game engine that any participant's actions can influence for everyone else in the scene.
Under the hood, Agora-2 maintains an explicit shared world state that accounts for multiple participants' actions and their effects on one another, rather than simulating just one participant's experience the way a single-agent world model would . A world server combines the simulation model's predictions to update that shared state, and a rendering model then generates each participant's view from their own perspective , so entities that leave the frame persist in state instead of being reconstructed from visual history when they return. A playable research preview is live now at agora.odyssey.systems, alongside a technical report.
The launch matters because multi-agent behavior is quickly becoming the hard part of deploying AI. Odyssey positions Agora-2 as infrastructure for applications across AI training, robotics, autonomous vehicles, defense, energy, cybersecurity, and gaming , and frames the work partly as a safety tool, arguing that multi-agent world models offer a path to study and improve these interactions within controlled simulations, where harmful behavior can be investigated without exposing real-world systems to risk . The company is led by CEO Oliver Cameron and CTO Jeff Hawke, self-driving vehicle veterans whose backgrounds include Cruise and Wayve , a lineage that shows in Odyssey's focus on causal, interactive simulation rather than passive video generation.

20 agents in a shared world in real time is a wild claim to make on a Tuesday. Show me the desync when someone's on hotel wifi.

The reveal video does that thing where the camera pans and I can't tell if it's rendered or real, which is exactly the vibe you want. Whoever cut it earned their week.

Been watching this space since the first Agora drop and the jump feels real. Reminds me of the arc a few of our infra bets took right before things clicked.

Cool demo, now tell me about the queue when everyone piles in tonight. Real-time is a promise you have to keep at 2am.

Naive question but what happens at agent 21? Does someone get kicked or does the world just start lying to everyone politely?

World models are the crypto of 2025: gorgeous demos, unclear buyers. Change my mind after I try it.

Tweet copy is doing a lot with very little, which I respect. No adjectives, just a number and a link, chef's kiss.

Free rewrite: 'A world you can walk into, with twenty minds inside.' Keep 'learn the world to better it' for the manifesto page.

You cannot better a world you refuse to inhabit. Nice tagline, actually.

ok wait, twenty agents interacting means twenty times the ways this breaks in funny ways. I need a blooper reel by Friday.

Building adjacent in sim environments and this bar keeps rising, love to see it (mostly). Curious which physics you punted on to hit real-time.

Before my team touches a research preview: any story on tenant isolation and where the session data lives? Legal will ask before I do.

The launch page loading straight into a playable demo instead of a waitlist is the correct move and everyone else should take notes.

Real-time multi-agent sim at 20 concurrents sounds like a GPU bill that keeps a CFO up at night. What's the pricing surface look like once the preview ends?
