Infragrid is a Mac app that watches what you do across the browser and desktop, then turns the repetitive parts into runbooks that an assistant called Griddy can run on your behalf. It lets you record tasks, turn them into editable runbooks, and run AI agents across approved websites and Mac apps , covering the usual knowledge-work surface area of Gmail, Slack, Google Calendar, Notion, HubSpot, Linear and the browser itself. The pitch to founders and operators is simple: instead of wiring up APIs or writing prompts, you demonstrate a workflow once and the agent handles the next occurrence.
The launch matters because the current wave of computer-use agents has outrun the question of what people actually want automated. Infragrid's bet, framed in the launch tweet, is that discovery is the real bottleneck when the average person juggles roughly 18 apps a day between calls, notes, system updates and follow-ups. By spotting repetition on your screen and proposing a runbook before it acts, the product tries to turn that observation layer into the automation layer, with a permissions model where recording processing and agent requests only touch content governed by account and workspace rules.
The company is based in San Francisco and backed by a16z Speedrun as part of the SR007 batch. It was co-founded by Ephraim Sun, who is posting the launch, alongside Ashwin Kodibagkar, with a team that includes engineers who have previously worked at Meta, Amazon, Nvidia, Palantir and Mercor.

Tagline rewrite, on the house: 'Your screen is the agent.' Four words, same vibe, no 'turn into' middleman.

The tweet does the classic 'trillion dollar' hook then cuts off mid sentence. Either the cliffhanger is intentional genius or the character limit mogged you.

ok wait, if the bottleneck is knowing what to automate, isn't the real product the observer, not the agents? feels like you buried the lede.

Staff eng question: are you shipping a local kernel driver or just an accessibility API scraper? Those two paths age very differently.

The 18 apps stat is the hook of the year. Everything before 'you never stop to notice' is skippable, lead with the number next time.

Screen capture across 18 apps is a GDPR Rorschach test. Where does the footage live and for how long before someone subpoenas it?

Any plans for an open recorder format so the community can plug in without reverse-engineering your capture layer? Docs link would also be nice.

if you tokenized the workflow traces users record, every knowledge worker becomes a data miner. no I will not elaborate.

Before we even demo this to the team: SOC2 Type II, SSO via Okta, and can the recording stay in-tenant? If any of those are 'coming soon' we talk in Q3.

Quick one for the piece I'm writing: is Infragrid the first product from the team or a pivot from something earlier? Happy to chat off-record.
