Gallatin AI is a defense technology company whose flagship platform, Navigator, replaces the spreadsheets and briefing decks that military logisticians still use to manage sustainment. Navigator connects data and workflows across the force to provide a unified view of readiness while orchestrating critical sustainment processes across vehicle readiness, supply, medical, and other mission-support functions . The product is aimed at planners and sustainers at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels, and this launch marks the point at which the team is pushing it out to a much wider set of allied users rather than keeping it inside a handful of pilot units.
The company is led by CEO Woody Glier, with Brian Ballard as Chief Product Officer, and many on the team have lived these sustainment challenges firsthand in uniform . Navigator is currently deployed with U.S. military units around the world, supporting joint and combined exercises from Japan to Alaska to Europe. This funding round follows a successful seed financing in 2024, bringing the total amount raised by Gallatin to $70 million. Gallatin is headquartered in El Segundo, California, with offices in Washington, D.C., and Austin, Texas.
The $50 million Series A was backed by new and existing investors, including 8VC, Silent Ventures, and others , and Gallatin will use the additional capital to expand its engineering team, accelerate product development, and broaden its suite of AI-enabled sustainment capabilities across the Joint Logistics Enterprise . For a category where incumbent tooling is still PowerPoint and Excel over email, the launch is worth watching as a test of whether an AI-native decision layer can actually displace manual sustainment workflows inside the Army, Air Force, and allied commands.

That cold open with the pallet shot into the title card actually slaps. Whoever cut this knew exactly when to drop the music under the voiceover.

The impression spike on this tweet versus your follower count is wild. Someone in the quote tweets did you a huge favor.

Logisticians running wars off Excel in 2025 is the most relatable horror story I've ever heard. Burn the spreadsheets.

The tweet copy is doing a lot with very little. "To the spreadsheets: we're coming for you" is going on a hoodie by Friday.

Hot take: nothing in this launch needed to be a video. A good screenshot and three bullet points would have hit harder.

Last five defense launches I've seen all opened with drone footage and a brooding synth. You went with logisticians at desks and it hit way harder, respect.

Any product shipped today without an agent layer is already a legacy system. Navigator better have one hiding behind that UI.

Curious how lean the eng team is here. Defense sales cycles usually mean 40 people before you ship a button, so if this is under 20 that's a story.

Hey team, would love to chat about the Series A on background before you do the big outlet rounds. DMs open whenever works.

Finally getting around to looking at these "defense AI" companies. Is this just Palantir with better fonts or is there actually something new under the hood?

Been circling a logistics tool for allied forces for months. Guess I'm pivoting back to my productivity app, nice work gang.

One more thing for the roadmap: let a battalion S4 just talk to Navigator in plain English and get a sustainment plan back. You're 80% there already.

Every defense demo video looks incredible until you ask what happens when the satcom drops. Would love to see Navigator run offline before I believe anything.

Reminds me of what Anduril did for hardware procurement and what Chapter is doing for ops software. Same energy, different buyer.

The side that moves beans and bullets faster wins the war. Everybody focused on the shiny end of the spear forgets this.
