Networked launch systems and AI guidance for precision strike weapons
What Polemos launched

Launching @polemos_inc (YC F26) today. Precision strike was built for a different era: expensive, slow to produce and fielded in small numbers. About the launch
Polemos Industries builds short-range AI-guided ballistic missiles and the compact mobile launchers that fire them, for military forces that can find more targets than they can afford to strike with today's precision weapons. Those weapons are expensive, slow to produce, and fielded in small numbers. The company is launching a strike network tied to reconnaissance drones already overhead: a drone geolocates a target, an operator authorizes the shot, and the nearest launcher fires a guided round. Each munition carries AI guidance from launch through the terminal phase, where the hit is decided. Polemos designs the full system in-house, from guidance to final integration, and is building its own propellant production so output is not limited by outside supply. Launchers are designed to deploy without purpose-built vehicles and to move forward with the front line, with range that can be extended by mounting on partner UAVs and UGVs. The rounds and launchers are built for mass manufacturing on production lines that already exist, so factory volume determines how many can be fielded. Henrijs Dandzbergs, 16, founded the San Francisco company after studying aerospace and mechanical engineering at Astra Nova (formerly Ad Astra) and working hands-on at two defense companies on autonomous systems fielded by NATO forces. Polemos is in Y Combinator's Fall 2026 batch with a team of three. Their backgrounds include NASA JPL, Caltech's GALCIT aerospace lab, the US Army's DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory, and Imperial College London.
