AgentSky gives developers a single API for running cloud-based coding and task agents, including Claude Code, Codex, Hermes, DeepSeek Harness, Kimi Code, OpenClaw, Pi, and opencode . Callers pick an agent and a model in the request, and AgentSky handles the persistent compute, state, crashes, and reconnects. The launch lands as new agent harnesses ship weekly with very different price and performance profiles, a gap the launch tweet illustrates with the same task costing roughly $150 on one agent and $2 on another.
The product is aimed at founders and engineering teams who want to compare or swap agents without rebuilding integrations for each one. Beyond the raw API, AgentSky includes a Playground where users connect GitHub and run real tasks across multiple agents to benchmark time, cost, and performance , plus add-ons that attach on the same call, including tools like web search, browser, and image generation, connectors for Gmail, Notion, Slack, GitHub, and Figma, and channels covering Slack, Telegram, WhatsApp, iMessage, and the A2A protocol. There is also a hosting path that moves a locally run agent to the cloud with one command, preserving the original instructions and model.
AgentSky was founded by Xiaoyin Qu, an ex-Meta PM and Stanford GSB dropout who previously founded Run The World (backed by a16z and later acquired) and HeyBoss.ai (backed by OpenAI) . The framing is straightforward for anyone who has used OpenRouter for models: one key, one endpoint, and the ability to run one agent for yourself or many in parallel for a software factory workflow.

The $150 vs $2 hook is a great cold open but you buried the actual product under two logos. Would've cut the harness comparison down to 3 seconds and let the API demo breathe.

The tweet copy is doing more work than most seed decks. Number, number, product, done.

OpenRouter for X is officially the new Uber for X. I'm not mad about it, the analogy actually lands here.

What's the rate limit story when I fan out to Claude Code and Kimi in the same request? Also please tell me there's a webhook for long-running agent runs and not just polling.

Every launch I see this week could've been built by an agent using your API next week. Recursive unemployment as a service.

Router for agents is basically an orderbook. You're one governance token away from being a full protocol and you know it.

Same task, one costs $150 and one costs $2, and the $2 one was... equally good? Feels like a benchmark curated in a very specific greenhouse.

Naive q: if I route the same prompt to Codex and DeepSeek, who owns the code output for licensing? Asking because my manager will 100% ask me tomorrow.

Fifth agent-router launch I've clocked this month and the first one that didn't lead with a 40-logo grid. Restraint is a feature.
