About the launch
OpenSource Recruiter is a skill for Claude Code, Codex, and other agents already connected to Treg. Paste a job post or pass a LinkedIn job URL, and the agent agrees the search criteria, returns a ranked shortlist, and looks up personal email and mobile. The product page prices that at $0.19 a candidate, with no monthly seat and no InMail cap. It is aimed at founders and operators sourcing from an agent instead of renting LinkedIn Recruiter Lite, listed on the same page at $170 a month for 30 InMails and no personal email or phone. Before spending, the skill shows title variants, must-have skills, seniority, and location. It searches people-data vendors, drops poor fits with a reason, and ranks the rest on cited evidence from career history, GitHub, Stack Overflow, talks, papers, posts, job changes, and company news, 14 sources per candidate. Contact lookup tries personal-email and mobile vendors cheapest first, stops at the first answer, and checks that an email is deliverable and that a number is a live mobile. The page notes a live check does not prove the number belongs to that person. A miss on a pay-per-hit vendor costs nothing. In a 30-person test dated 17 October 2026, stacking vendors found a verified personal email for 80 percent of candidates at $0.10 per valid email, against 77 percent and $0.28 for the best single vendor in that test. A recorded run of 24 candidates came to $4.60. Treg is the data layer under the skill. Jason Zhou, founder of SuperDesign, is building it from Sydney as one token for 4,000+ endpoints across 114 providers, with credentials injected on the server and each call billed at the provider rate with no added markup. A key the team already pays for is used first and is not metered. The recruit skill ships in the same AGPL repo and installs with npx skills add superdesigndev/treg --skill recruit.
