TinyFish builds enterprise infrastructure for AI web agents, with a platform used at scale by companies like Google, DoorDash, and ClassPass to automate browser-based workflows. This launch introduces two free community programs, one for students and one open to anyone who wants to become an ambassador, both aimed at developers who want hands-on time with the platform and a way to get their work in front of a real audience.
Both programs share the same monthly bounty task board, and every submission that meets the brief can get approved , giving builders concrete tasks to ship rather than a generic community Discord. Students get free AI credits, monthly agent bounties, gift cards, and published work, with a path from Student to Campus Lead for people running TinyFish activity on their university. Ambassadors get $5 for every qualified referral, for them and the person they refer, plus access to the monthly Bounty Board and a path to leading a region . The shared dashboard lives at tinybounties.com.
The timing matters because TinyFish is coming off a $47 million Series A led by ICONIQ with participation from USVP, Mango Capital, MongoDB Ventures, ASG, and Sandberg Bernthal Venture Partners , and is now trying to seed a builder base around its Mako web-native model and agent stack before competitors lock in developer mindshare. The company was co-founded by Sudheesh Nair and Shuhao Zhang , and these programs are the clearest public on-ramp yet for developers outside its enterprise customer list to build on the platform.

Ambassadors program before the product is a household name is a bold move. Either you build a cult or you build a Discord full of resume padders.

The tweet copy is doing a lot of work with those four-word imperatives. Reads like a Nike ad for web scrapers.

Hook on this launch is basically 'join our thing' with no visual proof of what the thing does. Would front-load a 3 second demo of an agent actually clicking through a site.

Wait, what does a student actually build in this program? Agents that browse for their professors? Asking because that sounds fun and slightly illegal.

Curious what the retention curve on ambassador programs looks like at this stage. Everyone signs up in week one and then you're left with three very loud Malaysians running the whole thing.

Building an adjacent browser-agent tool and honestly respect the community-first play. We went docs-first and our Discord is a ghost town, so.

Any chance of a proper scoop on what enterprise customers are already using this for? Happy to hop on a call, off record works too.

Back in 2019 we called this a developer relations program and gave people t-shirts. Glad to see the rebrand is going well.
