About the launch
Suno, the Cambridge company that turns a text description into a full song with vocals and instrumentation, is putting that generator inside the assistants people already use. Suno MCP Beta, available through an early-access signup, connects a Suno account to Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, and Gemini. The connector uses the Model Context Protocol, so the assistant can make a song from the same thread that already holds the lyrics, a project, or a video plan. Connection is a one-time Suno sign-in, with no API key. From the chat, the assistant can create a song, cover or extend library tracks, build mashups, turn an uploaded voice memo into a full track, and apply a voice saved on the account. Generations use credits on the current Suno plan. Songs save to the Suno library and can be added to playlists from the chat. Some of these apps only allow custom connectors on certain paid plans.
