About the launch
Sume Remix is a video-to-video editor for creators and ad teams who already have a clip and want another version of it. You upload a 4 to 15 second video and 1 to 8 reference photos, then run motion transfer, an object swap, or a restyle. The prompt is optional, and output is 480p, 720p, or 1080p. The job matches the one Higgsfield Genjutsu made common: keep the motion, camera, and timing, and change who or what is in the shot. Sume put Remix on the same pay-as-you-go balance it opened for hosted image and video models on October 22, and shipped the editor four days later. The product page lists Remix at $0.1230 per source second at 480p, $0.2766 at 720p, and $0.6804 at 1080p, next to Genjutsu list prices of $0.3180, $0.6810, and $1.6320. At 480p that is the 2.6x gap in the launch post. A top-up starts at $5, lasts 365 days, and there is no subscription. David Im, co-founder and CEO of Sume Labs, says the spread comes from Genjutsu reselling ByteDance Seedance 2.5, with Remix billed at that provider rate and no markup. He says that step fixes a frame-sync miss Genjutsu still has. That quality claim is his, and a production switch still needs a side-by-side on your own footage. The 2.6x figure compares Remix with Genjutsu's API list price.
