Sume API gives developers and ad teams one key and one prepaid balance for hosted image and video models, including Seedance, Kling, Veo, and Wan. Calls go out over a REST API, a hosted MCP server, a CLI, or a web studio, with no subscription. On the current pricing page, every model is billed at the provider's listed price with a 0% markup. Top-ups start at $5, last 365 days, and Sume pays the card fee. Seedance 2.5 at 480p is listed at $0.1028 per second. The October 22, 2026 launch compares those rates with the routers already selling access to the same models. CEO David Im says Higgsfield's API still adds a 40% markup at its largest advertised discount, fal adds 100%, and Runway adds 414% on Seedance 2 at 480p. The same post says Seedance 2.5 at 1080p on Sume is 50% cheaper than fal and 50% cheaper than the Higgsfield API. Sume's stated view is that model routing will be priced at cost anyway, so the company is dropping that margin now and plans to charge later for workflow software instead. Sume Labs, co-founded by David Im and Chase Huh and based in San Francisco, already runs the product those API calls sit under. Brands and agencies brief an AI creative team in one chat.
