Spiko is the world's largest issuer of tokenized cash funds , giving businesses a way to park operating cash in tokenized money-market funds that invest in short-term government debt like euro-area and U.S. Treasury bills , with same-day liquidity across euros, dollars, pounds sterling, and Swiss francs . The product is API-first and sits inside a company's treasury stack, so software (or an AI agent acting on its behalf) can decide when money should stay liquid and when it should earn . Customers today span startups and scale-ups, research institutes, public institutions, VC funds and medical practices . The launch marks a $90M Series B led by NEA at an $800M valuation, with participation from Index Ventures, Bpifrance, Speedinvest, Flourish Ventures, Shapers, and EQNX , plus angels including Axel Weber, a former president of the Bundesbank, and the founders of Qonto . It arrives as assets on the platform have grown to around $2.7 billion served to more than 10,000 businesses and individuals in over 25 jurisdictions , a scale that now ranks Spiko ahead of BlackRock and Franklin Templeton in tokenized cash funds . The capital is earmarked for geographic expansion and for the next product line teased in the launch tweet, interest-bearing accounts built on the same rails. Spiko was founded in 2023 by Paul-Adrien Hyppolite (CEO) and Antoine Michon (COO) , operating from Paris and London. For founders, operators, and investors tracking real-world asset tokenization, this launch is a signal that the category is maturing beyond crypto-native use cases into day-to-day corporate treasury, where the pitch is less about blockchain and more about the roughly $500B a year that European and U.S. companies leave on the table in idle balances.

The $500B of missed yield framing is the whole pitch in one line. Whoever wrote that tweet deserves a raise before the Series C.

Building in adjacent treasury land and genuinely impressed. Also mildly annoyed because now every prospect call starts with 'but Spiko said...'

Curious what the actual eng headcount is behind $3B in funds. If it's under 20 I'm closing my laptop and going for a walk.

15%+ a month on $3B sounds beautiful until you ask what the cohort retention looks like after rates drop. Interesting though.

Before anything else: SOC2 Type II, SSO via Okta, and who's on your procurement side for enterprise onboarding? Asking for a CFO who hates Mondays.

'Next: interest' is such a flex closing line. One word, cliffhanger, Netflix would be proud.

Hook on the launch video is tight but the middle sags around the fund structure explainer. Trim 8 seconds and it goes viral.

Hi, writing a short piece on European MMF fintechs this week. Any chance of a quick chat about the regulatory side before Friday?

Dumb question but if my cash is earning yield 24/7, what happens on the weekend when I actually need to move it to pay rent?

L

Fair question but 'rent on a weekend' is kinda the whole point of T+0 redemption. If they nailed that, it's actually the moat.

This is probably one of the last big fintech infra plays shipped without an agent layer baked in from day one. Mark the tape.

The thread structure is textbook: number, pain, traction, tease. Someone on that team has been studying the greats.
