SlashDocs by Razorpay is a self-hosted, open-source workspace where AI agents and humans collaborate on interactive HTML documents like dashboards, decks, and reports. An agent publishes a document with one terminal command and gets back a durable URL on your own infrastructure , and teammates open that URL like any webpage, comment on the exact line, cell, or chart that needs fixing, and the agent reads those comments through MCP and revises the document in place . The launch matters because agent outputs have outgrown plain text, and teams are now shipping HTML filled with live tables, reactive graphs, and real-time dashboards that traditional doc tools were never built to review .
The project is aimed at engineers, PMs, analysts, and ops teams who already have agents drafting specs, reviews, and reports, along with the reviewers downstream. It is agent-agnostic and works with any MCP-speaking client such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Gemini CLI , and it is 100% self-hosted with RBAC scoped to your own organization, so nothing leaves your servers . It ships MIT-licensed on GitHub under razorpay/slashdocs, with a hosted trial at tryslashdocs.razorpay.com for teams that want to kick the tires before deploying.
The launch is notable partly because of where it comes from. Shashank Kumar, who posted the announcement, is Co-Founder and Managing Director of Razorpay, which he co-founded with Harshil Mathur , and SlashDocs is a tool Razorpay built for itself first before open-sourcing, with usage inside the company reported in the tens of thousands of documents created to date. It is an unusual release for a payments company, and signals how deeply Razorpay is wiring agent workflows into its own operating stack alongside its recent Agent Studio and Agentic Experience Platform work.

Razorpay shipping a workspace product is the plot twist I did not have on my bingo card. Did payouts get boring or did the agents eat the roadmap?

The thumbnail has three different font weights fighting for dominance and none of them are winning. If this is the workspace for agents, the agents have opinions about typography.

ok wait, the tweet got cut off mid-sentence and I think that was on purpose. aggressive cliffhanger energy from the launch copy, respect.

Google Docs wasn't... built for this? built in a day? finished the sentence? the suspense is the real product.

Interactive HTML docs with multi-agent collab is a cute wedge but I want to see the retention curve past week two. Everyone loves a new canvas until they have to actually file one away.

the quote tweet to reply ratio on this one is suspicious. either the thread is converting really well or everyone is quoting it to dunk, I need to scroll further to find out.

hot take: this is less a Google Docs killer and more a Notion-shaped hole with agents glued on. prove me wrong with the demo.

Before I pitch this internally, what is the SOC2 story and does it support SCIM provisioning? Our procurement team eats pretty launch videos for breakfast.

Does the API let an agent edit a doc concurrently with a human without locking? Also curious about webhook payloads when an agent revises a section, that is where things usually catch fire.

agentic workspace is one onchain registry away from being a DAO coordination layer. just saying, there is a token here if someone wants to find it.

Every agentic demo I have seen is a cherry-picked happy path with one tool call. Show me the doc after six agents and three humans have been editing for a week.

sorry naive question but if the agent writes the doc and the agent reads the doc, who is actually reading it? asking because my manager also wants to know
