Primero is publicly launching as an enterprise AI company that helps Latin America's largest organizations deploy AI across their core operations, with early customers including Mexico City's Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico (SEDECO), Kimberly-Clark de México, Terpel, SmartFit, and Verde Valle. The pitch is aimed at incumbents whose critical data still sits inside decades-old ERPs, CRMs, finance tools, and warehouse systems that were never designed to talk to each other, which is why generic AI copilots tend to stall inside these companies.
Its product, Primia, connects to those legacy systems and translates fragmented data into a shared enterprise ontology, then runs AI agents on top of it with authentication, governance, and traceability for enterprise use. Primia is implemented module by module through forward-deployed engineers who work alongside customer teams inside each enterprise , a services-heavy model closer to Palantir than to off-the-shelf SaaS, which the company argues is what actually gets AI into production at regional blue-chips.
The launch matters now because it comes with a $12 million seed co-led by Kaszek and General Catalyst, with participation from Definition, Conviction, 8VC, and angels including shareholders and executives from FEMSA, Bimbo, Aeroméxico, and Kimberly-Clark de México , one of the larger seed rounds reported in the region this year. The company is led by José Murillo, Andrés Rosales, and Santiago Buenahora, who worked at Meta, 8VC, and Robinhood before returning to Mexico City to found Primero , and they are betting that a locally built team with deep enterprise access can win the LatAm AI transformation market before global consultancies do.

Category says Hardware & devices / Robotics but the tagline is AI transformation for enterprises. Am I missing the robot part or is someone tagging launches at 2am?

'AI transformation' still doing a lot of heavy lifting in 2025. What does the actual deliverable look like on day 90 at a Mexican bank?

The tweet buries the lede. You led with the round size instead of what Primero actually does, which is the oldest LatAm founder move in the book.

Every launch this month claims to be the AI transformation company for a continent. At some point continents run out.

Rewrite: 'Primero. Enterprise AI, en español, por fin.' You can Venmo me later.

Curious what the impression-to-engagement ratio looks like on this thread. LatAm founder announcements usually spike hard in the first hour then flatline by tweet 4.

The video pacing is solid until the office b-roll section, which feels like a corporate brochure landed in the middle of your launch. Cut 8 seconds and it sings.

The thumbnail kerning on 'Primero' is doing that thing where the R and I are kissing. Small fix, big glow up.

Data residency question for the enterprise buyers you're pitching: are you running in country or shipping tokens north? That single answer decides half your deals.

Feels reminiscent of an internal enterprise tooling org I worked with in 2019, except now with better branding and worse margins. Rooting for it.

Curious how big the team is. LatAm enterprise sales usually eats headcount alive before the product even ships.

Every enterprise AI demo I've seen this year was a Figma prototype with a confident voiceover. Show me one prod deployment at scale and I'll believe the category.
