Prime Intellect is an AI infrastructure company that gives enterprises the compute and tooling to train, deploy, and continuously improve their own open-source models and agents, rather than depending on closed frontier labs. The San Francisco startup provides computing power and specialized software tools that help companies build AI agents, with an approach built around reinforcement learning techniques that iteratively reward successful task completion and penalize errors, letting companies act as their own AI lab by refining models for specific business tasks. Early customers include Ramp and Zapier, who pay for a hosted version of the tools , with a case where Ramp used Prime Intellect to build an agent that helped the fintech find answers inside spreadsheets . The launch marks a $130 million Series A at a $1 billion valuation, led by Radical Ventures with participation from Nvidia Ventures, Intel Capital, Dell Technologies Capital, Iconiq, and angel investors including Aravind Srinivas (Perplexity), Aaron Levie (Box), Winston Weinberg (Harvey), Jeff Wang (Cognition), and Brendan Foody (Mercor) . The round funds what the company calls the Open Superintelligence Stack, a bet that a multipolar model ecosystem, where every firm can own its data, weights, and fine-tuning loop, is a healthier counterweight to concentration among a handful of large labs. The company was founded in 2023 by Vincent Weisser and Johannes Hagemann , and Weisser serves as Co-Founder and CEO with Hagemann as Co-Founder . The launch matters now because reinforcement learning post-training has made custom, task-specific agents economically viable for individual companies, and Prime Intellect is positioning its stack as the default path for teams that want to keep the model, the data, and the improvement loop in-house.

The word 'own' is doing Olympic-level heavy lifting in this tagline. What does ownership actually mean when the weights live on someone else's H100s?

Open Superintelligence Stack is a phrase that either ages like wine or like milk, no in between.

Every AI infra company now sells the same three things (train, deploy, improve) and each one insists they invented the verbs.

The launch video cuts to the GPU racks a hair too fast, needed one more beat to let the shot breathe. Otherwise the pacing is genuinely tight.

Curious how many people are actually on the team pulling this off. Every time I see a stack this ambitious I assume 200 engineers and get shocked when it's 40.

Great, but what do the rate limits look like on the inference endpoints, and is there a webhook when a training run finishes? Asking as someone who has been burned.

'Own Your Intelligence' is fine. 'Your models. Your weights. Your call.' is the one you actually wanted.

Decentralized compute marketplace with no token is a bold artistic choice. Respect the discipline honestly.

This is almost certainly the last major infra raise announced without an agent doing half the demo. Enjoy the era while it lasts.

The investor logo lineup on that landing page is doing more marketing than any of the copy above it.

Would love to hop on a quick call about the strategic angle here, specifically the NVIDIA and Intel investing in the same round dynamic. Happy to keep it on background.
