Oasive is a fixed-income research and analytics platform aimed at bond investors, launching out of stealth this week with backing from Y Combinator. It unifies research, screening, analysis, valuation, and reporting in one platform, automating work that today takes teams of analysts. The initial focus is macro, rates, housing, and agency mortgage-backed securities, the corners of the market where analysts still spend hours stitching together terminals, spreadsheets, and third-party tools to validate a single trade idea.
The company is led by founder and CEO Anaïs Howland, CFA, whose background maps directly onto the product. She was a quant analyst on Wells Fargo's $350B agency MBS portfolio, a PM on Google Treasury's $17B MBS/ABS book, and later an AI product lead within Google's consumer products, including Search and Gemini. That combination of buy-side seat time and AI product work is the pitch to portfolio managers and treasury teams who have historically been underserved by generalist financial software.
The go-to-market is deliberately narrow and priced for institutions rather than retail users. Oasive is selling macro and rates research for $200 per user monthly and agency MBS analytics for $12,000 a year , with a workflow that moves from a market question through screening, valuation, and a research report ready for an investment committee. Oasive is taking a domain-specific route into institutional AI , and this launch matters as a test of whether vertical fixed-income tooling can peel workflows away from incumbent terminals.

Bond investors finally getting the Bloomberg-killer they've been threatening to build since forever. Curious what data sources you're pulling from.

How are you handling illiquid corporates where the last print is three weeks stale? That's usually where 'better bonds' means 'bonds nobody can actually buy.'

The tweet just cuts off mid sentence at 'Which https' and I need to know which. Which what, Anais. WHICH.

Category says MLOps and evals but the pitch is bond trading. Someone at the directory needs a coffee.

Landing page has that clean YC-issued serif energy. Would love to see an actual product screenshot above the fold instead of a gradient blob.

Fixed income tooling in 2024 still looks like a Windows XP terminal, so genuinely rooting for anyone with taste to enter this ring.

Before I tweet 'interesting' I need to know: are buy-side desks actually swapping out incumbents or is this a nice-to-have alongside the existing $30k/seat setup?

Off record or on, what's the wedge here, muni, IG corporates, or high yield? Happy to sit on the story until you're ready.

Procurement question incoming: SOC2, SSO via Okta, and where does the trade data live at rest. Bond desks will not touch you without all three.

Coming out of stealth with a truncated tweet is a bold artistic choice. Very 'you had to be there.'

Every fintech launch this year: 'we help X find better Y.' At some point someone has to define better.

'Test the risks before putting on a trade' is a wild sentence to have to advertise in the year of our lord 2024.

The tagline says 'market research to security valuation' but the tweet says 'find better bonds.' Pick a lane before the sales calls start.

At my last shop we had an internal tool that did exactly this in 2019 and nobody used it because the PMs on desks trust their gut over any UI. Curious how you're solving the adoption piece.

Any chance of a public methodology paper or is the valuation model going to be closed box forever? Asking as someone who has to defend model choices to a risk committee.
