Supertake is a new consumer investing platform that turns plain-language opinions, what the team calls "takes," into managed portfolios of real assets. A user might type something like "humanoid robots are coming to every home," and the product connects to agents inside an existing brokerage such as Robinhood or Coinbase, builds a balanced portfolio around the thesis using financial analysis, competitive dynamics, market cap and historical trends, and then places the trades. From there it manages the position daily and rebalances when needed , running on autopilot or with user approval. It is aimed at retail investors who have strong intuitions about where the world is heading but no interest in running a spreadsheet workflow.
The launch is the public debut of a company incubated within Union Square Ventures and led by Michael Mignano, a USV partner and the co-founder of Anchor . Access is invite only and gated by a waitlist, so this moment is largely about staking out the concept and recruiting early users and operators. Mignano has said USV is assembling a founding team around the product and is actively hiring builders , which frames the launch as much as a talent signal as a product one.
Beyond the core loop, Supertake leans into social and simulation mechanics. Users can share a take with friends who can fork it and invest immediately, and top-performing takes surface on a community Leaderboard. The current version supports US-listed equities, with crypto, derivatives, and prediction markets planned, and a Practice Mode lets people test ideas before committing real money. For founders and investors watching the AI agent space, it is a concrete bet that consumer finance is the next category where agentic workflows replace app-driven UX.

So my hot take that 'people will pay for silence' becomes a portfolio of noise-cancelling stocks and Calm competitors? I need to see what it does with 'pineapple belongs on pizza'.

Inevitable that someone tokenizes the takes themselves. Imagine a market where my bearish opinion on almond milk trades against yours.

The video pacing is clean but the voiceover has that soft LinkedIn cadence where every sentence lands like a nod. Would kill for one moment of actual founder energy in there.

First ten seconds of the video are all logo and no hook. You buried the 'turn your take into a portfolio' line at 0:14 and lost half the scrollers.

Invite only + waitlist + frontier AI in one tweet is a triple word score for 2024 launch bingo. I respect the commitment to the bit.

Genuine question from someone who has never opened a brokerage: what happens when my 'take' is just vibes and the portfolio tanks 30%, do I blame the agent or myself?

Blaming the agent is the whole product. That's the killer feature nobody wants to say out loud.

Retention on this has to be brutal. People form new takes every three hours on the timeline, are we rebalancing every tweet?

Any product still shipping without agents in Q4 is basically a museum piece. Supertake is doing the thing everyone will copy by spring.

The gradient on that logo is doing a lot of heavy lifting. Also the T in the wordmark is kerned like it owes the K money.

This is the fifth 'AI investing copilot' I've seen launch this month and the only one with a decent hook. The portfolio-from-a-take framing actually made me stop scrolling.

Feels a lot like a robo-advisor with a chat wrapper. In 2019 we called this Wealthfront with extra steps and it worked fine.

Reminds me of what Composer was trying to do but for people who cannot spell ETF. If the onboarding is under 90 seconds this actually has legs.

Curious what the underlying agent architecture looks like. Is this a single planner routing to trading tools or a full multi-agent debate before allocation?

Waitlist launches in AI right now convert like garbage unless you drop a demo link people can actually poke. The invite-only mystique worked better when Superhuman did it.
