Melius is a shared creative operating system where teams of AI agents take on the production work behind images, video, and other brand assets, aimed at in-house creative and marketing teams that currently stitch together a patchwork of generative tools. The company frames the bottleneck on visual content not as model quality but as the prompt-engineering skill and disconnected tooling required to actually ship work , and this launch marks its $25M fundraise paired with a push to expand the agents lab behind the product.
The company was co-founded by CEO Joowon Kim, CTO Young Kim, and COO Arnav Ramu. Joowon and Young previously worked at Ramp, Joowon as a senior engineer and Young as director of engineering and a co-founder of Venue, which Ramp acquired in 2023. Ramu is a multi-time entrepreneur who also worked in software investing at Hg and investment banking at Guggenheim. The current product is a rebuild. The team initially pursued AI-assisted performance marketing, then scrapped the entire codebase and redirected Melius toward tools that create the ad assets and campaigns themselves , which is the version launching publicly now.
The round totals $5 million in seed funding led by General Catalyst and $20 million in Series A led by CRV, with participation from Genius Ventures, Vine Ventures, and Anti Fund , and the capital is earmarked for growing the team, building out go-to-market and sales, and continuing to expand the agents lab . Timing matters because Melius came out of stealth in July 2026 and, less than three months later, crossed a seven-figure run rate with thousands of teams building brand creative on the platform , so the launch catches the company at the point where it is turning early traction into a broader rollout for creative and marketing organizations.

The 'agents lab for creatives' framing is going to launder a lot of Figma plugins into Series A decks this quarter. Watching with popcorn.

That cut at 0:08 from the pensive founder shot to the mood board timelapse ate. Whoever edited this earned their invoice.

Pre-recorded demo or live? Because the latency on multi-agent creative loops is where every one of these pitches quietly dies.

Every tool shipped before 2026 without an agent layer is going to feel like a Nokia next to this stuff. The vibes have shifted.

We shipped something that rhymed with this internally in 2019 and killed it because nobody wanted agents picking their fonts. Curious if the market finally caught up.

Cool manifesto, but how does the actual export pipeline work when 400 creatives hit it on a Tuesday night? Nobody ever talks about the boring part.

Reminds me of what Runway was trying to do before they went full Hollywood. Different wedge, same ambition.

'For all of history' is a bold opener for a Tuesday launch tweet. Respect the swing.

Thread structure was clean, hook landed, but you buried the actual product shot under the fundraise flex. Lead with the magic next time.

Genuine question from someone new to this: what does 'agent' mean here vs a workflow with steps? The site kind of assumes I already know.

One more thing for the roadmap: version control for agent runs. Creatives will branch 40 times and lose the one they liked.

Any plans to open source even the agent primitives? The creative dev community will build you a moat for free if you let them.

First-tap test: I opened the site on mobile and immediately got a desktop-only vibe. Fix that before the tweet goes viral or you leak half the funnel.

Was already pulling up the deck in my head before I finished reading. The category is real even if the execution is TBD.

Three weeks out from launching something adjacent and this tweet just rearranged my positioning doc. Thanks I hate it.
