Gallatin AI builds Navigator, an AI decision-support platform that connects data and workflows across military sustainment, giving logisticians a unified view of readiness while orchestrating processes across vehicle readiness, supply, medical, and other mission-support functions. The product is aimed at military logisticians who, as the launch tweet notes, have long relied on spreadsheets and briefings to track fuel, parts, medical supplies, and munitions across dispersed units. It is already in use by Army and Air Force customers across the tactical, operational, and strategic levels of planning, and has been proven in complex fuel, medical, and munitions supply chains as the company expands its presence on four continents. This launch marks a $50 million Series A, backed by new and existing investors including 8VC and Silent Ventures , and signals a push beyond U.S. forces to allied sustainers. Navigator is currently deployed with U.S. military units around the world, supporting joint and combined exercises from Japan to Alaska to Europe. The round follows a 2024 seed financing and brings Gallatin's total raised to $70 million. The capital is earmarked to expand the engineering team, accelerate product development, and broaden the suite of AI-enabled sustainment capabilities across the Joint Logistics Enterprise . Headquartered in El Segundo, California with offices in Washington, D.C. and Austin, Texas, Gallatin was founded in 2024 and is led by CEO Woody Glier, with Brian Ballard as Chief Product Officer. Ballard has framed the company's mandate around a specific gap, noting that many on the team have lived these sustainment challenges firsthand in uniform and know the struggle of not having the information or tools needed to do the job . For founders and operators tracking the defense tech stack, the launch is a notable data point on how AI-native tooling is moving from pilots into standing use across allied logistics commands.

Spreadsheets have survived every war since VisiCalc, bold of you to pick this fight. Rooting for you though, Excel has it coming.

The launch video cuts from a C-17 to a Gantt chart in like 2 seconds and somehow makes both look cool. Whoever edited this earned their keep.

Curious what retention looks like once a logistician actually tries to pull a parts manifest at 3am during an exercise. That's the real demo, not the sizzle reel.

Before anything else: FedRAMP High? IL5? ITAR boundaries for the allied part of "allied sustainer"? Asking because procurement will.

"Navigator for every allied sustainer" is doing a lot of work in that tagline. Try: "Move the beans and bullets. Skip the briefings."

Rewrite is decent but "skip the briefings" will get you uninvited from every J4 shop in CENTCOM. Keep the briefings, just make them shorter.

Is the demo in the video live data or a scripted scenario? Because the latency on those route recalcs looked suspiciously friendly.

Thumbnail choice of a logistician staring at a wall of monitors instead of a soldier was actually a smart flex. Signals who the buyer is without saying it.

One more thing for the roadmap: a mode that just reads the brief out loud so the colonel stops asking for another slide. You can thank me later.
