Forus is building an AI network that sits between prescribing physicians, specialty pharmacies, payers, and biopharma teams to move high-cost and complex medications from prescription to patient. The company's platform gives every prescription its own AI agent that works through prior authorization, financial clearance, and the clinical context of the case, targeting a longstanding gap in specialty care where one in three patients prescribed therapies for high-cost or complex conditions never receives their initial dose, while those who do regularly wait weeks or months due to prior authorization and financial clearance hurdles . This launch marks a $150M Series C at a $3B valuation, led by Bain Capital Ventures with every existing institutional investor reinvesting, including Thrive Capital, General Catalyst, Accel, Redpoint, BoxGroup, Pear VC, Avra, Human Capital, Neo, Vast Ventures, and SV Angel . The round triples the company's valuation just months after its Series B and brings total funding to more than $300 million . Forus was founded in 2023 by Sahir Jaggi , who serves as CEO, and the platform is now used by providers across all 50 states to treat patients in 85% of U.S. residential ZIP codes . The company started in dermatology and has since expanded into gastroenterology and autoimmune specialties, including a partnership with the American Gastroenterological Association to improve medication access for patients living with digestive diseases . For founders and operators watching healthtech, Forus is a bet that the bottleneck in modern medicine has shifted from discovery to distribution, and that long-horizon AI agents with strict accuracy requirements can absorb the administrative machinery that currently pushes physicians toward older, easier-to-prescribe drugs. New capital is earmarked for expanding into additional therapeutic categories and scaling the platform to more practices.

The film open with the heartbeat sound design is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. Someone on that edit team deserves a raise before the Series D lands.

3B on a Series C in healthtech AI means the pricing model better not be per-seat SaaS to hospitals. What are the actual unit economics behind the network claim?

ok wait, 'AI network for medicine' is doing so much work in that sentence I need three follow-up tweets to unpack it. What sits on the network, the doctors, the models, or the patients?

Every AI healthtech pitch claims to accelerate medicine and yet my GP still faxes things. Convince me the network effect is real and not just a logo wall of hospitals.

Called this one at the pre-seed dinner and nobody listened, so I'm going to be insufferable about it for the rest of the week. Bain leading is the correct signal here.

The tweet buries the lede by leading with the round instead of the film. If the film is the hero asset, embed it first, cap table second.

Genuinely wondering how many engineers it took to ship the network before this round closed. My guess is embarrassingly small and they'll never tell us.

AI network for medicine sounds like it wants to be onchain for provenance of training data. Nobody asked, but I said it.

Cool film, but where do the docs live? A network is only a network if the third integration is as easy as the first.

Impressions on this post look wildly asymmetric to the reply count. Curious if the film view-through rate is what actually justified the markup internally.
