Supertake is a new investing platform, incubated at Union Square Ventures, that turns a user's view of the world into a managed portfolio of real assets. The product is aimed at people who have opinions about where things are headed (alternative sports, longevity, humanoid robots in the home) but no fluency in equity research or portfolio construction. A user types a "take" in natural language, and Supertake connects to agents inside an existing brokerage like Robinhood or Coinbase, builds a balanced portfolio of assets, and places the trades on the user's behalf.
From there, Supertake actively manages the take daily and rebalances when necessary, with the user able to run things on Autopilot or approve trades individually, and chat with each portfolio from the app or over email. There is a social layer on top of this: takes can be shared with friends who can fork them and invest immediately, and the best-performing takes surface on a Supertake Leaderboard. At launch the platform supports US-listed equities, with crypto, derivatives, and prediction markets planned, and a Practice Mode lets users play out ideas before committing real money.
The launch matters because it lands at the intersection of two shifts the team is betting on, consumer access to agentic AI research and brokerages opening up programmatic trading to third-party agents. Supertake is led by Michael Mignano, a general partner at Union Square Ventures and co-founder of Anchor, which was acquired by Spotify , and the product is currently in private beta , making this an early look for operators and investors tracking how AI agents reshape retail investing.

So my take that oat milk companies are a bubble can now become an actual short position? Finally my group chat opinions have monetary consequences.

Genuinely the last wealth app that could've shipped without agents. Everything after this either has an agent loop or dies on the vine.

The reveal pacing in the video is clean but you buried the actual product demo at 0:38. First ten seconds are a vibe reel, not a hook.

Every retail investor already turns their takes into portfolios, they just call it 'checking Robinhood after two drinks'. Curious what the guardrails look like here.

A fool and their takes are soon parted. Beautiful product though.

API docs or it didn't happen. Also please tell me there's a sandbox before I accidentally paper-trade my rent.

Hiring? I know a quant from Jane Street who's been quietly building agent eval frameworks on weekends and would eat this problem alive.

Building adjacent to this and genuinely rooting for you, though I'd argue 'turn ideas into portfolios' is the easy half. The hard half is making people trust the agent on day 73.

Tweet copy does the thing where it says 'frontier AI' and 'trading agents' in one sentence and expects me to not ask what model. What model.

We shipped something adjacent inside a big co in 2019 and killed it because compliance ate us alive. Very curious how you got through the regulatory maze.

Impression to signup ratio on this thread is going to be the real benchmark. The 1/ with a video is a strong opener, the drop-off usually happens around tweet 4.

One more thing for the roadmap: let me subscribe to a friend's portfolio and get a notification when they change their mind. Social proof but for conviction.

If there's no $TAKE token within six months I will be personally disappointed and also probably relieved.
