OuterSignal is a customer intelligence platform for consumer brands that connects to a company's commerce stack or CRM and enriches each buyer record with public context, then hands those profiles to AI agents that personalize marketing, advertising, merchandising, and lifecycle touchpoints. The platform helps brands understand individual customers and use that information to personalize marketing, advertising, merchandising, and customer engagement , with use cases spanning influencer and partnership teams getting alerts when notable customers purchase, lifecycle marketers building persona-based audiences and generating tailored campaigns , and acquisition teams building sharper ad segments. The launch marks a $22M Series A co-led by Long Journey Ventures and Abstract Ventures , with additional participation from BAM Ventures, Top Shelf Ventures, SuperAngel.Fund, and Jerry Yang's AME Cloud Ventures . Co-founders Zach Zelner (CEO) and Noah Friedman (President) spun the company out of a tool Zelner had built while running consumer businesses, and the New York based company says its technology now supports thousands of consumer businesses and hundreds of millions of orders following its January 2026 launch . This round matters because it lands as consumer brands are hitting the ceiling of segment-based personalization and looking for ways to treat each customer as an individual. Brands on the platform include AG1, HexClad, Jones Road Beauty, True Classic, Jomashop, Lucy, Gratsi, and Magic Mind , with HexClad using OuterSignal to surface creators already buying its cookware and AG1 using it to identify customer group differences and discover influencers already inside its base . The new capital will fund expansion of the research engine and technology capable of generating individualized versions of messages for each customer, alongside hiring across engineering, go-to-market, operations, and customer experience .

Every startup calling themselves 'agentic' this quarter should be legally required to define what the agent actually does before the tagline loads.

The tweet cuts off mid-sentence and somehow that's the most relatable Series A announcement of the year. Cliffhanger marketing, unironically strong.

The launch video pacing is clean but the b-roll of dashboards flashing at 0.4s each is doing a lot of heavy lifting. Let a screen breathe, king.

Congrats on the raise. Any plans for a public API sandbox or is 'agentic' code for 'book a call with sales'?

Been building something loosely adjacent for 8 months and every launch like this makes me want to close my laptop and touch grass. Rooting for you though, genuinely.

Personalization has been 'revolutionized' approximately every 14 months since 2011. I'll believe the agent part when it stops recommending me the hoodie I just bought.

Sorry naive question, but what makes it agentic vs just a really good rules engine with an LLM on top? Asking because my boss is definitely going to ask me on Monday.

Landing page loads fast, the hero copy is tight, but I clicked 'get started' and got a Calendly. That's a first-impression tax I would not pay as a consumer.

Curious what the eval loop looks like when the agent gets a personalization call wrong at 2am on Black Friday. That's the demo I want to see.

Watching this while my own 'stealth mode' landing page still says lorem ipsum in the footer. Motivating and devastating in equal measure.

'Agentic Customer Intelligence' sounds like three separate Series A companies got in a car accident and this is the insurance settlement. Congrats though, seriously.
