"Your dot is ready to meet you" is the most ominous nine words a company has ever shipped before breakfast. I half expected the dot to blink and ask me for my social security number.

The cut from the dot pulsing to the product reveal is clean but the hook is doing too much heavy lifting on vibes. First three seconds needed one more beat of context or people are gonna scroll past wondering if it's a meditation app.

The replies on this post are 90 percent people guessing what the dot is and 10 percent people selling courses on how to prompt the dot. Peak form for a launch tweet with four words in it.

Launch tweet with zero copy and a vague noun. Either genius restraint or someone on the marketing team got pulled into an all-hands five minutes before posting.

Serious question from someone with a boring job: where does the dot live, who processes it, and can my enterprise admin turn the dot off? Asking for roughly four hundred coworkers.

I will believe the dot is ready to meet me when the dot can tell me why my last chat forgot it had tools enabled. Until then the dot and I are in a trial separation.

Every time they ship something the pre-recorded demo looks buttery and then day one latency makes it feel like dialup. Would love to know if the dot has its own inference pool or if it's sharing a bedroom with the rest of us.

The dot is a Rorschach test. Whatever you were already afraid or excited about in AI, that's what the dot means to you now.

Three weeks out from launching something similar and now I have to redo my whole hero section because every founder on earth is about to put a pulsing circle on their landing page.

Press briefing when? Happy to sign whatever embargo you want, just need five minutes with someone who can explain what the dot actually does before everyone else gets the exclusive.

Imagine if the dot was onchain. I'm not saying it should be. I'm just saying nobody at OpenAI has ever considered the dot's true potential.
